Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You’ll be transferred to your comfortable hotel in Moshi/Arusha, where your guide will brief you on the safari itinerary. Spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the vibrant local town as you prepare for the adventure ahead.
Rise early and set off in your private 4×4 safari vehicle to the stunning Tarangire National Park, famous for its majestic baobab trees, expansive savannahs, and one of the largest elephant populations in Africa. The Tarangire River, a vital water source, attracts herds of zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, and gazelle, creating a wildlife spectacle that is second to none. Watch for predators like lions and leopards lurking nearby. As the sun sets over the picturesque landscape, you’ll head to your lodge or campsite for a restful overnight stay.
After breakfast, journey through the scenic highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending into the legendary Serengeti National Park. Known for its endless golden plains, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a haven for wildlife, including the Big Five and the famed Great Migration. Arrive at the Seronera region, rich in biodiversity and home to predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Enjoy an exhilarating afternoon game drive before retiring to your lodge or campsite under the star-filled Serengeti skies.
Dedicate this day to exploring the wonders of the Serengeti. Begin with an optional early morning game drive, where you can witness nocturnal predators returning from the hunt and herds of herbivores starting their day. Visit the hippo pools, spot giraffes grazing against a dramatic backdrop, or marvel at the majestic lions lounging in the grasslands. Depending on the season, you may also catch a glimpse of the awe-inspiring wildebeest migration, a spectacle like no other. After a day of adventure, return to your lodge or campsite for another magical overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, travel to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world and often referred to as “Africa’s Garden of Eden.” Descend into the crater floor for a thrilling day of game drives, where you have an excellent chance of spotting the Big Five—elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and the critically endangered black rhino. Capture photos of the crater’s stunning landscapes, teeming with wildlife and dotted with flamingo-filled lakes. In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and head back to Arusha/Moshi, marking the end of your incredible safari journey.
Spend your last day relaxing at your hotel or exploring the local town for souvenirs and cultural experiences. Depending on your flight schedule, your guide will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
